New: Elvis Depressedly - Goner
A couple of months after announcing Coma Cinema’s demise - Matt Cothran’s alter ego, Elvis Depressedly, seems to have taken precedence. A new 5-track album dropped on Thursday night which appears to go against the very idea of the 6-7 minute drone pieces it was originally used for; Cothran now using the moniker to combine CC’s close-mic songwriting style with the airy industrial ambience we’ve seen to date in ED. ‘Goner’ as a five track record is painfully short, but similarly astounding, and perhaps as a highlight, it is the noise-ridden lo-fi punk song ‘Jesus Rots In His Grave’ which stands out.
As ever, its a name-your-price download from the CC/ED band camp.
